Gutter Boat Date

A few weeks ago Steven planned an awesome date night.
Gutter Boat Races!
We built our fleet of ships and headed to the gutters.
Cedar City has some crazy deep gutters, and they are everywhere!

For our trial run we pitted the Argo against The
Good Ship Lollipop.
The first gutter proved a little too swift for our ships..
I may have tried to give my a little boost (chuck) to
help it on it's way....it didn't help...
This was the end result. The winner was the Argo blob.

Round 2! Smaller ships s.s. Chipeta vs. h.m.s. Kiddo

They even had to traverse a tunnel.

Steven's boat won again!

The Chipeta got stuck and had to be rescued
by the Kiddo.
They held together.

Round 3!

This gutter proved the best.  It lasted the longest and had
different obstacles.
Eventually they both turned into blobs as well.
Steven's boat, the Juggernaut, was in the lead most
of the time.  But eventually my blob, the Estebanyo,
overtook his blob and won!

Round 4!
The final match up included a turn into the first gutter
we tried, and a few tunnels.

The U.S.S. Ouray proved to be the sturdiest ship of all,
and held together the best to win it all.
The end result of our fleet.
The best boats were the smaller ones with a good,
wide, base with little holes.  Next time we will fortify
the bottoms with duct tape :)

We had dinner at our new favorite eatery
The Little Brick House where we got our favorite
Fonti Cristo sandwich and tried a yummy new one.

Then we took a nice walk in park.
He loves when I take pictures of him :)
It was such a fun day with my guy.
Well done Steven Powell, well done :)
