At the beginning of the month my mom, sister-in-law Beth,
and I threw a baby shower for my other sister-in-law Katie.
The mom-to-be with her mom.
I've recently decided that I like the idea of throwing fun
parties with decorations and such; it might be something I could get
more into. I also wish I had been in this mood when Beth
was pregnant and had been more involved. I will be next time!
Anywho, point is I enjoyed getting into throwing this shower :)
My mom made some excellent food.
Katie loves reading and so we went with a book theme.
I got the idea for this garland on Martha Stewart's website.
We did it open-house style and had a great turn out.
My grandma and aunt made these receiving blankets. Beth sewed an adorable car seat cover and burp cloths. I wish I'd got a picture, they were really cute!
This punch was cute, and so tasty!
This was the most fun thing to make ever!
I got the idea from a magazine; it's a motorcycle 'diaper cake'.
I think she liked it :)
Beth and Katie.
McKell, mooching for treats :)
Auntie ReNae talking to the little guy.
Aunt Dee, cousin Kaylee, and cousin Kimmy
Cousin Anna, auntie ReNae, and Beth
Aunt Melanie with her daughter, Miranda.
Katie and Jameson are pretty big Real soccer fans,
they were very excited about the Real baby gear that
aunt ReNae got them.
(when we showed him later)
Instead of cards, everyone brought books
and wrote well-wishes.
Cic and Kinsie
My mom and my mother-in-law, DeAnne.
Adorable nieces
The loot.
She got some pretty awesome stuff.
Even my Nanny in England got to join
in the fun (through skype:).
This was the outfit that Jameson came home from
the hospital in. He's outgrown it a little.
We had a 'Giving tree' of wishes for the new little
baby. Everyone filled out good things they wished for the baby
and hung them on the tree.
We also made these little book marks, but we didn't
have them in a great spot so a lot of people forgot to take
them. Oh well, it was fun and I think this baby has
a lot of love to look forward to :)
