Dentisit Dos

I am smiling in this picture, even though you can't tell.
Just got back from the dentist...I had four fillings, three of them on the very back teeth.  I have a slightly rare case where on the top of my mouth the nerves are very sensitive so two doses of numbing agent isn't enough; and to do work on the bottom teeth the top of my mouth has to be numb as well.  So pretty much my face is super numbed up and feels kind of puffy.  My right side is numb up to, and a little around, my eye.  I think I now know what botox might feel like. The dentist said I was brave to have all four areas numb at once, but it wasn't so much bravery as I really had no choice.  He had to finish everything up and I didn't want to be in agony as he did it.  He offered laughing gas, which I thought was a joke at first. I didn't take it, maybe I should have though...
But all should be well now and I shouldn't have to go in until my next cleaning!
Other than that not much has been going on.  Steven was sick for a few days last week :( There was a lot of soup and a lot of sleeping.  Now things are pretty much back to normal.

Recent Happenings

Here are a few of the recent indispensable happenings:
A few weeks ago we took a short trip to Zions NP. We weren't there long, we mostly just stopped to take a few pictures

Then last weekend we took a trip up to Salt Lake and surprised my mummy for her birthday.  We mostly just visited everyone and went shopping.  Sunday was the Super Bowl, it was also my niece Cloie's birthday and our cousins Cohen's and Preston's birthdays that week.  So we had a Super bowl/birthday party with tons of food and cake! It was a lot a fun.

This is the hat I made for Cloie, unfortunately it was a wee bit too small.
Aunty Katie gave her the pretty dress.
Little Cohen with his new truck
 mmm slobbery cake

This past weekend Steven and I went to the Temple and took a few pictures around it.  Steven got some really neat shots, check them out in the link to his Flickr page on the side.

Temples are so beautiful, how can you not love them?
And finally, we stopped at target and we ended up splurging a little on the Third (and final season that we needed to get) season of Psych!!! If you haven't seen this show I highly recommend it.  It is so clever and funny and I never get sick of it. We now have all the season that are out, and that's pretty much all we watch at night now :)

Ah Kids

My heart goes pitty-pat
When I see you on the street
And your shoes are kind of flat
Because of your athlete's feet
Thank you seventh-grade boys for your wonderfully romantic poetry!

The Dentist

Sorry about my face!
I went to the Dentist last week because I have a few cavities.  My right side was causing the most grief and so he started there.  Well, it took two and a half doses of numbing agent and the whole hour to fix one tooth and remove staining on two others.  The first dose of numb stuff didn't work so he had to use another, then he had to put some on the inside of my mouth.  It felt weird to feel my tooth filed down to almost nothing.  The tooth had a previous filling and decay had gone all along it.  Then it was tricky to fill in.  He said it would probably be the hardest filling of the week.  So my right side of my face was numb for half the day.  I would try to frown, but it looked and felt so silly that I would laugh, then that looked even more ridiculous so I would laugh harder.  I don't know why my mouth has to be so difficult all the time.  I get to do it again next month!
