Over The Weekend

Steven and I gave blood for the first time. For various reasons neither of us had done it before. I'd like to say I handled it like a champ, and I did, until they were done and about to take the needle out and my body rebelled. I started getting light headed then before I knew it there were hands and cold towels everywhere. I had tunnel vision, cotton-hearing and was fighting throwing up and passing out. I won the passing out battle (I luckily stayed conscious), but I threw up a tiny bit. It was the weirdest feeling ever. Then my body calmed and they gave me treats. Steven was the champ, no problems, although he still has some bruising. We both still felt good about donating and being able to help others in this small way.
We went out to sushi with a few friends for Steven's birthday (after the blood ordeal) the food was great. But I over did it and got a bit sick again.
Saturday we were both a bit drained, so after some work stuff we vegged and relaxed :)
Sunday was my Faja's birthday! He came home from New Mexico (where he's currently working) and surprised everyone. It was so good to see him and wish him a happy birthday in person.
Then we enjoyed pizzas and cake at the Powell's for Steven and Danny's birthdays. Hadley and haegen made signs and hats for them. Laura made awesome cards :)
It was a fun-filled weekend. Here are the pictures:

Older than dirt?

Not yet :) but Steven is one year closer!
Today he entered the latter half of his twenties (and I can rub it in for another 5 months). So far he's had two birthday dinners, with two more coming up.
I'm sure grateful his awesome parents didn't stop after four kids :) I can't imagine how different my life would be without Steven. He makes everything infinitely better. Which is why I'm always happy to celebrate another year of his life :)
I got a new picture editing app and used it to show the semi-shock/excitement he had when he opened his new wallet to see the concert tickets my mom and I got him :D
Yeah, he's pretty fantastic.

Happy Day!!

I love General Conference. One of the most exciting parts for me that I always look forward to is the announcing of new temples. Every time I hope, but don't necessarily expect, to hear two places in particular. So when President Monson started to announce the first new temple and pronounced 's' I thought it would for sure be a foreign place. Then the 's' turned into 'Cedar' but I didn't catch on until he said 'City' and then I was too excited to hear 'Utah.'
Cedar City gets a temple!!
I wish that we still lived there to fully enjoy that moment when it was announced. I'm so happy for the wonderful people of Cedar. Throughout the whole first session whenever I thought of it I'd tear up. It just makes me so happy. Cedar is such a beautiful place, now they get a beautiful temple to complete it. I love the Temple and all it stands for and all the great things that happen there. This is such a blessing to Cedar City.
Now we just need to hear an announcement for an Ireland temple :)

Disney Dump: Random Day 2

Still More! (We're only on day two)
This day we started out in California Adventures,
then eventually back into Disneyland.

We headed straight for Radiator Springs and the Cars ride.
Even in the morning the line is long. The best thing to do is ride single rider, Steven and I were still in the same car just not by each other.

Cars isn't my favorite Pixar movie, but this ride and set up made
me like the movie more.  It's such a cute area that looks just like the movie.

Onto the Hollywood Tower of Terror!

Such a fun ride! Tiny bit of motion sickness.

Sourin' over California :)

Little Mermaid ride, So cute!

(not as fun as I remembered, but still good)

Star Tours; great ride if you can enjoy it, it made me
so sick!

Love this crazy kid :)

Monsters Inc. Ride

Haegen thought it was hilarious to pull
Steven's hair :)
Hadley danced in California Adventures.  All of the
photos of that are on my camera, but she did a great job!

So Adorable!

Waiting in line for the Submarines and
playing with Korver.

These two couldn't wait for them to open the gate.
They were so excited that the attendant gave them
"celebration" buttons.

Tinkerbelle's house

The Haunted Mansion!!!!!
I love this ride!

Old entance tickets through the years.

We watched "Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln"

Coolest Legos Ever!

Great second day.
Feet full of happy blisters.
