Birthday Bonanza
As I've slightly mentioned, my amazing husband turned 25 not
too long ago. Even though I'm not too far behind, I like to tease
him about how 'old' he is :)
I think his birthday went pretty well. Of course there was the amazing food,
but we also just got to enjoy a lot of time together.
Had to keep with the tradition of completely pathetic
decorations :)
Birthday morning :)
He thought unwrapping them with his teeth was
a good idea...
I mentioned something about wrapping paper,
and Steven said to just wrap everything in plastic wrap,
so I did :)
Sheet music for his budding piano talents.
For dinner we ate at The Ninja
He tried to avoid his annoying wife and her camera,
but I was relentless :)
He threatened me with chopsticks to put the
camera away. (not really, but I'm sure it crossed
his mind)
Oh heavenly sushi...
That's my handsome man :D
All mine.
I'm so lucky.
He's so patient, and so diligent in his work. He has a deep
sense of thought (a.k.a. he's a pretty smart guy). He is a talented writer and poet. He makes me laugh to no end. He is always willing to help, and he is so considerate of others. I love everything about my thoughtful, playful, mischievous, clever, and all around amazing husband.
Happy Birthday (again:) Steven!!!!!!!

Birthday Food
I know at least one way to my man's heart is
definitely through his stomach!
(another reason we are perfect for each other:)

(another reason we are perfect for each other:)
So as part of his birthday week I tried to make some
of his more favored dishes. This night was meatloaf with
mashed potatoes and stuffing.
For his birthday breakfast he got biscuits, sausage,
hash-browns, and eggs.
We got sushi for dinner, of course :) along with
Shrimp Udon
And to top it off- carrot cake cupcakes, and
Sea Salt Caramel Truffle ice cream :)
During the week we also dined on split pea and
ham soup with rolls, blue cheese pasta, and Thai
food with my parents.
I think we both enjoyed this part of his birthday
very much. I sure do love my hubby and wish I could
feed him this well all the time :)

Misty Kolob with Mission Buddies
A few weeks ago Steven's mission buddy,
Mike Walker and his wife Becca, drove all the way from
Canada just to see us! Ok, not quite just us, but they
did stay a night here. We ate yummy Mexican food,

Chimney Rock
While in Wayne County we did the Chimney Rock hike in
Capitol Reef.
Capitol Reef.
In all the years I've been coming here, we've never done this
hike. It's pretty easy and has cool things to see.
That's Chimney Rock in the background.
Jameson is being bashful.
The view is awesome.
Chimney Rock from above.
That's not a hill, that's the swell of the surrounding land.
From the road you can't tell that it does this.
It was a nifty hike, and I'm glad Jameson and Katie joined
us (even in her prego state :)

My OLD Man :)
Yesterday was my dad's birthday!
He is no longer in the doorway of his 50's, he's completely inside
at a whopping 51 years old! :)
My dad is awesome. He is literally the BEST!
He is the hardest working man I know, and he works
the hardest for his family. There is so much in
my life that never would've been possible if it weren't
for his sacrifices. He has worked hard to teach his
children good values and to be a good example.
He has shown us the beauty of the world around us,
and given us the confidence to take our own risks.
I'm so blessed to have such an amazing dad.
I love you!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY FAJA!
~
As part of his birthday/Christmas present, he and my mom spent a few days in Las Vegas. They got to see a few shows and eat a lot of good food. On their way back they stopped and spent a night with us! We had delicious Thai food, ate cake and ice cream, played Hand and Foot, checked yard sales, ate at the Pastry Pub, shopped downtown, got ice cream, and went to the Parowan Gap. I didn't get pictures, but we still had a great time. We're really glad they stopped by!

Easter at the Cabin
Our Easter was very relaxing.
Like we usually do, we went to my family cabin in Wayne County.
We are usually out and about more, but this trip was more relaxed.
We did a bit of shopping (love used books stores!), and a lot of reading.
Steven helped Cloie do a puzzle (it was a Little Mermaid
puzzle and when it was complete, Cloie counted all of the
"little boobies"..."one little booby, two little boobies, six little boobies..."
love that girl).
Megan, Wesley, Parker, and Derek
Ready for a ride!
On Easter we dyed eggs, thanks to Beth!
Kelly Belly and her Poppy
More of the little Chunk with her cake :)
Cloie helped Mckell open her presents.
Cricket helped Mckell clean the cake off her pants.
All clean :)
Easter Morning
Uncle Jameson found stickers...
McKell loves being upside down.
Uncle Jameson also loves fuzzy, girl slippers :)
Cloie's recorder that the Easter Monster (bunny) got her.
Cursed Easter monster. Somehow it magically disappeared.
So happy for the Easter egg hunt!
Cloie's beautiful hairstyling abilities.
Little ATV ride
Jameson and Katie went fishing and caught a few.
Easter Dinner
Then it was on to the Easter egg hunt!
Since we only have two nieces, and only one can walk,
the whole family joins in.
This year we had a golden (pink) egg that had spare change in it.
(a fun last minute idea)
guess who got it...

Easter Morning :)
I love what this holiday means, and the time it allows to
reflect more on the Atonement. I've heard of a lot of great ideas
to help make Easter more Christ centered (something I need to be better
at), and I want to implement them more. I love that we got to spend
this Holiday with my family at this beautiful place.
Happy Easter :)
