Disney Dump 5: Day 1 Shennanigens

Still lots of pictures left to dump, so here are a bunch of random ones
from our first day (second day if you count the half night of driving to St. George).  Half of this day was spent driving...

This was our stop in Barstow, California;
Steven's official first step in this state.

Momentous event.

At our hotel, away from the Utah freeze and into
75+ dregree weather.  Sooooo nice!

Finally on the tram to Disneyland!
That's pure excitement on my face.

Hadley and Haegen, not-so-pure-excitement, but
only because their crazy aunt kept taking pictures.

Then, finally finally finally finally FINALLY!
I was annoyingly ready to burst with (almost) unreasonable excitement.
Pretty sure Steven and others may have been ready to slap me into
calming down....

And we're in!

Haegen was so cute with the map

The first ride we went on was The Peter Pan ride;
one that I remember loving as a kid.  It did not disappoint.

Our pirate/explorer faces

Attempted murder.

Shortly after this is where we met Mickey :)

This is where we sat to watch the parade.
Unfortunately the park closed early this night,
so we went to the Target and loaded up on food. Then
these very happy kids crashed into bed.

Happy Irish Day!

We interrupt your Disney viewing to bring you this St. Patrick's Day greeting.
We sure missed our West Hills St. Patrick's day party this year, but we still managed to wear a lot of green and eat a lot of good food. We went to part of the very long Paddy's day parade downtown yesterday, in which the highlights were the Irish wolf hounds and the many droopy-eyed basset hounds (what could be more torturous to a basset hound than being forced to walk in a long parade?), I loved it :)
We then went to the wildlife resting area at Farmington Bay and saw a few swans before enjoying some corned beef and cabbage, then a movie with friends.
Today was more mild and we stuffed our faces with more corned beef and cabbage and plenty of Irishy desserts with family.
Happy St. Patrick's Day!!!!

Disney Dump 4: Fireworks!

These are all pretty much different shots of the castle, but what's more Disney than tinkerbell flying over the Disney castle with music and fireworks? Pretty much nothing.
It's a pretty awesome show every time; we enjoyed it twice.
The last picture almost looks like the Micky Mouse head so I'm claiming it as such :)

Disney Dump 3: Parades

Who doesn't love a good parade?
Disneyland, among the many things they do so well, puts on
excellent parades! We had great seats for Mickey's Fun
Parade the first night, and the Pixar parade in California Adventures
was exciting.
