Cabin Fever

Our final roadtrips/getaways as a couple! (Even if we go as just a couple, we will still no longer be a family of two, crazy!)

At the end of September we went to the Jackson cabin in Bicknell.

It rained, which was beautiful, and it also made things pretty relaxed.

We took a drive or two to see the fall colors.

    McKell harassed the egg-dog Ringo.

           Packer was hard at work.

Parker's birthday was the 28th, so we celebrated with a giant cake :)

One morning I even got up and saw the sunrise! There's nothing like a Bicknell sunrise from the cabin deck. A few of us were up unusually early that morning due to the all night crazy awesome thunder and lightning show.
I didn't take many pictures, mostly we all relaxed and it was great.

Then we just spent this last weekend at the Powell cabin near Kamas.
More pretty Fall leaves. Although most of the leaves have fallen, everything still felt so fully Autumn, especially the drive there and back.

My lumber jack with his tough-guy-looking pretzel :) His love of chopping wood kept us nice and toasty.

A visit to Smith and Morehouse

We also watched a lot of great Halloween movies :)

I think Steven took the most walks this trip; all the kids kept asking him to take them on walks. It was really cute. I joined for one of the smaller ones :)
I also saw a giant moose run past the cabin! I'm still kind of amazed, it was crazy and so awesome to see.
Both trips, for me at least, were a good amount of relaxing and some exploring. Steven and others may have wished for a bit more, but I was content to be lazy :)
