Spring Break

I love that my job still involves me getting a spring break. Even though I don't get paid, the napping/sleeping in time is worth it! Steven still had work so I was basically queen of the couch all week. Loved it. Luckily, Steven realized that given enough time the couch and I might fuse into some inseparable blob of lazy, so he took a day and a half off so he and I could play :)
Logan:
We thought of spending a night here, but realized: it's closer than we thought, and we have no clue what there is to do in Logan when it's cold and rainy, so instead we explored then headed home.
We walked around the Logan temple, checked out book shops, got dinner, then drove around town and campus.
Spring break in Utah = rain/snow, but it made for a pretty drive.

The aquarium:
Just opened + half of Salt Lake on spring break = crowded! But since we have passes we decided to casually check it out anyway.
A lot of exhibits still aren't finished, but what was there was impressive. The otters, penguins, and shark tunnel were the highlights for me.
Shark tunnel! Despite my bad pictures it really was awesome, we just sat for about 30 minutes watching everything.

He really loves when I do this :)

Wheeler farm in the rain:
                         Geeses!

Spring break also included:
Conference!
It was amazing, as usual. Nothing like a legitimate reason to spend 8 hours on the couch watching tv :)
Got to hang out with these two, plus the rest of the fam that didn't go to priesthood session.
The scene after priesthood at the Powell's, mostly fun reminiscing.
Quiet Sunday in between sessions :)
And...
...this cute little stinker turned 3!
Beth and Parker made a cool mermaid cake for her.
I loved her posing in her new dress :)
You can tell that the males were more than happy to let the female folk take all the pictures and make all the birthday fuss.
Speaking of birthdays:
Happy birthday to this papa back on March 4th (some indicator of how behind I am, as usual:)

So far I've survived being back at work, but spring break sure made me impatient for summer!

  1. I had no idea what a convincing squid imitation Steven could do. Alternate career, perhaps?
